New Years Creek Baptist Church organized at Allcorn Community on December 20.

1851
New Years Church "extends an arm" to Brenham in November.

1852
In October conference, New Years Church passes this resolution: "Resolved that this Church change her location from this place to the Baptist Church now being built in the town of Brenham.

1853
Move made to Brenham in May.

1888
Parsonage erected at cost of $1130.

bullet

1892
Second Sanctuary built at total cost of $5393.15.

bullet

1924
Parsonage destroyed by fire on June 5.

1925
New two-story parsonage erected; Church library established.

1935
Educational Building completed, and Sanctuary remodeled.

1945
Church joins Burleson-Lee Association, the present Independence Association.

1952
On December 10, the Sanctuary was destroyed by fire.

1954
New Sanctuary dedicated on June 27, and Fellowship Hall added to Educational Building.

1960
Parsonage purchased in Walnut Hill; Educational Building remodeled with air conditioning; Chapel added.

1963
On June 23, mission established as Beverly Hills Baptist Chapel.

1965
The mission became an independent Church, the present Calvary Baptist Church, on September 12.

1975
New Family Activities Building opened in February; first services held in renovated Sanctuary,
July 13.

1976
First Baptist Church School established with an enrollment of 24 three and four year olds.

1985
The new Education Building was completed.

bullet

1995
The children's wing was built.

bullet

1996
First Baptist Church celebrated 150 years of ministry.
