Alex Morrison

Good Morning.  I am Alex Morrison, the Pastor of Counseling at Brenham’s First Baptist Church.  My wife, Nicole, and I have been married since 1996, and brought two sons, with one on the way, here to Brenham when we started serving in 2004.  Since then, God has brought us two daughters making the ratio 3 sons:2 daughters.  Nicole and I both surrendered to the ministry when we were young and have served Brenham’s FBC as a team.  Aside from my relationship with Jesus, the thing I enjoy the most is my family (and golfing, fishing or hunting when the opportunity arises).  I am a graduate of Dallas Baptist University (B.A.S. in Christian Ministries) and Dallas Theological Seminary (Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling).  Between 2004-2021, I served as the Pastor to Children and Families.

In August, 2021, I became a full-time, licensed Christian counselor with offices in College Station and Brenham. I also currently serve part-time here as Pastor of Counseling. In this role, I teach classes on Christ-centered emotional and relational heath and provide two free assessments for people in our church and school who may be struggling in their marriage and/or parenting. In these assessments, I help people learn about marriage and/or parenting resources that be helpful and provide a list of licensed Christian counselors in our area.
